Merry Christmas folks. Sorry I've been rather absent but life has been well life. When I something to post I'll post it. Don't worry I haven't stopped.

25000

We've just breached 2500 page views all time.

Awesome!

Cybersix Nightmare Fuel

I present to you the most disturbing individual I've seen so far in Cybersix.

On a side note I was skimming hte Cybersix tvtrope pages and noticed that there was no entry for Nightmare Fuel (which this dude works for), or VaporWear (Lori). If someone wants to correct this that would be awesome. I don't have the time to do so right now. It would also be awesome if someone started a page for Meteorix, but... eh.

Friday, December 16, 2011

Whoa, I got something to post

So yeah I got something to post... somehow...

Anyway here's a pair of Meteorix pages.

Poor guy. Janitors aren't paid enough to deal with that...

Will let ya know when I have more.

Hey Folks, Here's Some Info For Ya.

I've had some questions recently about how much there is of Cybersix. Since this aint the first time I've had this question and it's unlikely to be the last time. So I made a handy dandy little pic that people can stick with their Cybersix downloads so that Bisharp can tell you how much there is remaining of Cybersix.

It is my Birthday! Yaay!

Apologies

Things have been rather busy for me, so not much to report with translating. I've mostly been able to do some background work stuff and I have been doing some less time consuming things that I may talk about come 2012.

Also Red VS Blue is awesome and you should watch it, and then go by the DVDs.

To The Nightshift At Where I Work- I Do My Job

Dear Nightshift Girls-

I will admit I am not a particulary speedy person. I will also admit that I am also the newest person working at the store. However act like you did towards me and the other person on morning shift (who has been working there longer than you) and their will be... problems...

Morningshifts' top priority is to make the pizza dough and roll it into crusts. If we have the time and inclination we can do otherthings. But it is the nightshifts' job to restock the line fridges not ours. We busted our humps to finnish all the dough, while making pizzas for the customers (and selling about a quarter of what we made to boot), and doing the emergency stocking of what we needed for said pizzas. We bring our dough numbers up to where the boss has told all of us to bring them to (as your angry little note so pointedly indicated), it isn't our fault we sell out of dough towards the end of the night.

Furthermore, you lot are not the ones in charge at work. You cannot remove my hours from the schedule. You cannot continue to make the schedules so that they favor you and place all of you on at once. You do not have the authority to leave notes to try and reprimand us, or complain about how "we always slack off". If you have an issue complain to our faces. (note: you all know about this blog, and honestly I don't care if you decide to read it or not, you know it's here so it's your call) Don't leave angry little notes at work, actually say something to us and communicate, even if it is through facebook or email or personal webpages.

If one of you in particular continues to provoke me everytime we see each other, there will be problems. I do not want problems. I do my job, and if you think you can do better I am willing to trade shifts and let you take a whack at it instead. Just let me know and I can easily trade my shifts for yours. It's better than you just starting yell when I show that I have a spine and don't immedietly agree with your view of our work. I'm a nice guy in general (and I haven't even yelled back once), but I won't rollover just because you have to your job instead of Morningshift doing it for you. So please don't provoke me anymore.

For Those Who Want To Use My Work

If you want to use my work on Cybersix or Meteorix there are a few things you should do.
  1. First ask me if its ok.
  2. Let me know how you intend to use it (translate into another language, create a better translation, color the comic, post on another site like Smack Jeeves, etc etc...), and where you will be posting it at. This way I can let other people know about your stuff as well. And possibly hit you up for advice in regards to photoshoping...
    • Note- This will also enable me to keep you current with my script translations if neccesary.
    • Other Note- If you are wanting to color it let me know and I'll post your colored versions here for everyone.
  3. If I give you the ok, credit my work on on it. (for example acknowledge that you are working from my translation, don't claim that you did it yourself)
    • Note- Apply this to the chapters done by Zannen as well. Don't claim it for yourself or say that I did those translations.
    • Note The Second- Guy who was posting Cybersix on Smack Jeeves when are you going to post more? I gave you the ok to use my stuff but you haven't done anything for a while.
  4. Supply an E-mail address by which I can contact you, in your comment to this post or any other in which you ask.
For my translation related stuff I use the email address PharmaDanTrans@yahoo.com

If you follow this outline more likely than not I'll give you the go ahead to use my stuff.

    • Note The Final- The picture used at the top of this post is from a volume of Sailor Moon, I can't remember which one right now. It's one of those end of chapter filler art pieces that the artist sticks inbetween the old chapter and the new.
Also WOO 11/11/11
Thank you anon who gave me an excuse to use this picture...

Cybersix Assistance

As I mentioned in an earlier post there is an image in chapter 16 of Cybersix that I may need a bit of help with. As you can see some of the text is cut off of the image due to the angles. This makes it a bit of a pain to translate properly. If there is anyone who could help me by filling in the blanks of whats missing I would be very greatful. Remember helping me means the chapter gets an earlier release than it would otherwise.

To any and all who decide to help, Thank You.

It will be a while before I get to this point in translating but any help would speed it up. Like before anyone who helps will be acknowledged in the translation.

Little News

Not much to report at the moment, mostly just the background parts of translating being done at the moment.

Meteorix- nothing new though the guy who's been uploading them may no longer do so due to Cease and Desist type of thing. This is really annoying as there are only 2 issues that arent online.

Cybersix- Only a chapter and a half left until volume 1 is done. I may need help with one of the pages for the final chapter. It's a near page sized letter with some of the top corner missing. I think I may need a bit of help filling in the blanks with that.

Other stuff- I may be posting crossbow pictures or some lego stuff I'm fiddling with.

Yeah other than that not much else to say.

A thought

After thinking about it, I have to say I wouldn't mind seeing Cyber in a Sailor Moon type/style costume (hint hint to those readers who can draw)

Old Classics

So yeah I seem to have picked up a copy of the new re-release of Sailor Moon...

For those who don't know (and if you are over 25 and have never heard of it you should be ashamed of yourselve for being that oblivious to pop culture osmosis) Sailor Moon is a classic Magical Girl Manga/Anime series that has proven to be popular world round. It was one of the largest and most popular non Disney properties during the 90s.

I have to say it was a fairly enjoyable read. It didn't do much of the whole poor kid who everyone fears/hates that wants everyone to respect/like them suddenly becomes the only one who can save everyone. Usagi (sp?) is just an average (below average even) girl and it shows.

The book has some pretty nice romancy-type moments and the art is a nice change from what I usually read. Though it does have some problems. The art can be a little too detailed at times, making some things hard to discern. Some of the battles arent too clear, and at least one is annoying in how it doesn't really explain how the heroes won it, although that may be part of a set up for the next volume. The only other major problem is that the introductions to the characters seems to be rather fast,a little forced, and a tad episodic (that probably worked better for the show, but not so much here). Some more build-up for the joining probably would work to fix that, and give the girls some more time to settle into the story.

Those flaws are not deal breakers though, and the story stands the tests of time. For something that was released back in 1992 or '93 it's still an enjoyable read. The premise and the fact that this is just the first volume(a re-release even) show promise for the series as a whole(the fact that it got a several hundred episode anime, various other media, and its earlier succsess kind of also indicate that).

In this volume the best story would have to be the one dealing with a foreign princess and her country's great treasure. It's not an intro story so it lets the character develope a little more than they had previously. Some touchy-feely moments, fancy disguises, a tish of mystery and humor (the princess' appearnace mainly, along with Moon's reaction to just a smidge of alcohol by mistake), and what not all come together to make a good solid story. Jupiter's introduction after this story is the next best in the volume, probably due to the development the other got in the earlier story.

I also ended up grabbing a copy of Codename: Sailor V, a prequel of sorts that actually got Sailor Moon its start. It's essientially a bunch of one-shots collected together so its very episodic, but a bit more peppy. It only focuses on one girl (the one who hasn't joined up with the others yet in Moon) so it doesn't need to focus on introducing people all the time. It's episodic nature would lend itself well to an animated adaption, but here makes it a little tiring to read alot of in one sitting. It's best story is the Hawaii/Greece vaction one, its rather silly but sticks in my head more than the others. I think it's also the only multi-part one. It looks like it has some hints in it to the main story arc of the Moon series as a whole. Also enjoyable was a handful of cameos by some of the girls from the main series, though one was rather major probably done at the same time the main series was released.

Some notes on the actual books, they dont have any info on the back only some cute little pictures, and no ads for other books on the inside. They just go right on into the story, and the only things in the back are some translation notes, images of the rest of the books in the series, and in Sailor Moon a preview for volume two, an untranslated preview at that.

Back when Sailor Moon phenomenom was at its peak I didn't really care for comics or have cable to see the show. I knew it existed, and that it was a girly type show but that was it (well that and that there was a fun game on cartoonnetwork.com where you had to destroy particular colored monsters in a circle and not let one of the other girls [Jupiter?] go beserk and kill the other colors), so it never really caught my eye until recently. I don't think I'll go out of my way to watch the show (maybe some movies but I doubt it), I have other things to watch and its 200+ episodes, but I think I will continue to snag the comics, at least volumes 2 of Moon and V. They're decent reads, classics to boot, and it is nice to see what alot of the older fans are making such a fuss about.

Some links of note; two tvtrope pages and the article that convinced me to look into the series and try it out.

I Got My Crossbow Back!!

I got my Crossbow back, YAY!

I took it in to Gander Mountain for some maintenance (it's an old bow and I don't know much about what needed doing, nor the equipment to do it), and after only twice as long as they said they would need to do it I finally got it back! Now to wipe down the metal, apply lubrication, and wax the string, so that I can do a little shooting.

Perhaps I'll post some pics later. Although now that I got it back I really need to finish making a giver for the arrows.

Problems Viewing The Comic.

It has come to my attention that some people are having issues viewing the comic. That is bad. So what I am going to to do is proveide a step by step bit that has worked for me on a variety of systems.

1. Use the links on the Cybersix (or Meteorix) page to go to megaupload and download the comics you want to read.
2. When prompted to save or open the file choose save and save it to a location on your computer where you can easily find it..
3. While the file is downloading go and have yourself a cookie.
4. Once the file is saved to your computer go to the file location.
5. Right click on the zipped folder and select extract.
6. Once the files are extracted select the first image and open it in your program of choice. (I use windows photo viewer so I just go and right click on the file and select preview)
7. Read comic.

If this doesn't work I don't know what else I can do without actually seeing your computer. You may need to try a different computer or something. Try talking to someone who has more experience with computers, I would recemend tracking down a big anime/manga fan since they often read the newest chapters of their favorite series as soon as another fan translates them, like what I'm doing here for Cybersix and Meteorix.

Also if you have progams like 7zip you can also use them to extract the zip files but it is NOT required. Though it is speedy if you want to extract multiple folders at a time. Or want to read rar or cbr files

Unfortunately I can't email anyone the pages because if I do it for any one person I would have to do it for everyone.

However another fan is currently posting the Zaanen translation on SmackJeeves.com and should be getting to mine fairly soon. Just search for Cybersix on the site and you should find it.

And if any who read this want to upload the translations to any gallery sites or something please do so and post the links. I'll add them to the Cybersix page.

Gender

Was browsing through some Cybersix search results on google. Some even mentioned me! :D For those who did mention me just to give you some confirmation yes I am a dude. So now who can stop with the him/her-ing when you're talking about me.

I'm becoming known on the interwebz!!!! Oh happy days!

Cybersix Ch14 pg 1

Title says it all. It's been a while but here you go, a new page of Cybersix. Looks like we start out with some Lori.

Just Made This

I just made this cause I thought it would be funny. I have a few others too but those are for later
For those who don't get it its implying that Calvin from Calvina nd Hobbes and Haruhi from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzimiya are the ancestors of Kamina from Gurren Lagann. Anyone familiar with the series should be finding this rather amusing... I hope

Cybersix Opening Video

Since I'm feeling a tad guilty about not having anything ready to post despite my intent to do so I present to you the Cybersix opening. This video and a few others I'll soon have uploaded will have download links on the Cybersix page. I'll let you know when they're up.

Video after the jump.

Yay

So I've made some significant translation progress since I got off of work yesterday. I got well over a dozen scripts done.

Unfortunately this isnt the kind of progress that leads to an immediate posting of images. Its the background shit that takes up over a half of the time of any translated page. However this does mean that I should have stuff for posting soon.

Monday, September 12, 2011

Delays and Delays

As you may have noticed I've been delayed a while with translations. I'll try to get to them soon but between work and other things (including learning how to properly use my "new" crossbow that I got for $30 at a garge sale, some minor maintenance and repair work on it, and constructing a quiver for the bolts) it could be rather slow going.

To conclude-
-NO I HAVE NOT STOPPED TRANSLATING.
-NO I HAVE NOT SHOT MYSELF IN THE ASS WITH A CROSSBOW.
-NO I HAVE NOT SHOT ANYONE OR THING ELSE WITH THE CROSSBOW THAT WAS NOT MEANT TO BE SHOT AT WITH A CROSSBOW OR OTHER BOW

Apologies again

Sorry Folks stuff did come up so I havent been able to make any progress.

I aint going to whine about the shit thats been going down since thats not what your here for.

I'll let you know when I make some more progress.

Oh and Cellthirteen Feel free to host the comic on SmackJeeves if you want. All I ask is that you use the better versions of my initial translation. I would also like it if you hosted Meteorix as well, but it's your call.

Translations Tonight

I actually have some free time and the energy needed to do some translating tonight. I'll probably post a page or two online tonight.

Unless of course problems arise or the pages are more difficult than expected.

Wednesday, August 10, 2011

Progress

Currently working on some translations. Here's the Meteorix page I literally just finished.

Depending on my mood I may switch over to Cybersix later today.

Cooling

Things are cooling down abit here. Shouldbe translated more again soon.

Holy Crap I actually acomplished something! Meteorix #1 V2

Ok folks due to leaving for Staples earlier than planned (stupid heat) I didn't have the materials i wanted ready, so instead I worked on the better version of Meteorix #1 and actually got some Cybersix scripts partly done!

Here is the link for Meteorix #1 v2. With a little luck I'll have some more stuff for you soon!

EDIT: New link on the Meteorix page.

Miserable Heat

OK here's the deal; it is too freaking hot for me to be able to do any comic translating in addition to my current work load. Yes, I feel bad, but not bad enough to work on it while being miserable. Once it's a little nicer or when I have access to someplace with A/C or something I'll be able to do some more work. I'll let you know when I'm on task again. Sorry folks.

4th

Happy 4th of July my fellow Americans, try not to blow yourselves up too much. To those of you dear readers who hail from elsewere... uh happy Monday?

Might still have something for tommorow but the heat and not getting as much done in Staples as I wanted may delay that. Depends on how today goes.

Planning

If things go to plan I should have something to post around the fifth of July, it depends on how much preparation I can get done before the 30th

Kick-Ass Awesome!

We've breached the more than 2000 visits in less than a month mark. Woo!

Translations are currently slowed due to life but are not forgotten.

Photoshopping Type Questions

Strike that. Did a little net hopping and found a better version of the image.

I'm currently prepping images for translation and noticed one of my Meteorix images was corrupted a bit, and so discolored on part.

I was wondering if any of you dear readers knew how to fix this sort of thing. I tried fiddling around with it in the program I use (G.I.M.P.) but couldn't make any decent progress.

This is the image, it's not so bad that I can't use it, but it is rather vexing.

See, not too bad...
Thank you to anyone and everyone who wants to help.

Cybersix 13

Cybersix 13 go and download. Too tired for much more right now. No I won't toss the rest of the chapter onto the blog like I did with the first part.

EDIT: New link on the Cybersix page.

Thursday, June 2, 2011

Status Update

Due to time killing without the Internet all the scripts for Cybersix 13 are done. Assembling of the pages should be finished tomorrow and posting done on Sunday, maybe early Saturday.

As an appetiser here is an image for you all.
For those curious the original direct translation was- There are neither wins nor defeats in this war whore whom I lead against his world.

The rest of the chapter will be released via the download folder bit, kinda a good thing since for most of the last half of the chapter Cyber spends it prancing around half naked; and while it aint porno I would still like to keep this place rather Safe For Work.

Twofer

Couldn't post because of nasty storm last night, but that lead to another page being done.

Guh, Humid, Tired, and Busy

Great Zombie Cthulhu it is like walking through a gym shower outside. Graduation stuff is done but I'm still busy for the coming week. Boss lady has scheduled me for Tuesday through Saturday due to other workers dealing with Graduations and another going on a trip. So don't expect too much of a change right now. Currently translation plans are a possible page tonight MAYBE, and a potential upgrade to Meteorix #1on Friday since that is not quite as strenous or intensive work. Thus it is more probable to get done than other Cybersix translations or new Meteorix issues.

Also I just have to say Plants Vs Zombies is awesome. I picked up the DS version so I could have something simple to do to kill time inbetween various things since my regular stuff would be too time consuming. It is highly addictive and scary cute. The ending song and music video are just hilariously awesome. Highly reccemended.

Saturday, May 21, 2011

Oh cool!

Was just looking through my stats and noticed from the page views bit that a lot of my traffic is now coming from the Cybersix COMIC page on tvtropes. Somebody made a seperate page for the comic and linked me right at the end of the description... AWESOME!

Once more I apologise for my lack of presence and progress, but my life has been busy lately. New job, brother graduating highschool, other brother moving back home from the dorms, mom planning surgery, grandma cleaning out old house, etc etc...

Any way here is another Cybersix 13 page that I just finished translating.

Monday, May 9, 2011

Apologies

Due to the combination of being trained in on my new job, my new 3ds, and various family stuff, I haven't been able to do much in the way of translating. Sorry everyone. Until things settle down a bit it is unlikely I can get much done so for now enjoy these pages I have finished.

3DS

Today I'm picking up a 3DS after worl since my human guinea pig check came in on Saturday. I was wondering if anyone who reads this has any suggestions for any DS games, the last handheld system for me has my regular GBA, and none of the launch titles for the 3DS really interest me. The one that does the most TLoZ Ocarina of Time I already have for the N64.

There are a few games I intend to get, (Pokemon Platinum, the 3rd game in the black and white generation, Megaman Legends 3 when it comes out- thats actually the main reason I'm getting the 3DS, the DS kingdom hearts game, The World Ends With You, etc), but my game knowledge is rather limited at the moment.

Also I may have found a place to buy the Italian Cybersix comics... but thats for a later post.

Gargh!

Yesterday I went to Pawn America while running errands with Grandma (she has trouble going on her own now cause of O2) and I snagged what I thought was a good deal, a complete set of Trigun, an excellent anime that was on Cartoon Network several years ago. Today I have found out that it is a bootleg, and I can get an official set for just over half of what I payed... PussFuck.

Oh and for those who are interested I haven't quite yet started my next translation, I'm actually still deciding what it will be but I am currently leanning towards Cybersix 13 since I spent part of yesterday at Grandma's before we went shopping preparing several pages for translation (size increasing and color modifying mostly) of several Meteorix issues.

Saturday, April 23, 2011

Woot

As of 4:34 PM today I have broken the more than 1000 page views in a single month mark. YAY!

Question For Y'all About Pages

So I've been looking through pages of Cybersix and Meteorix to figure out what I want to do next and I noticed something with the next dozen or so issues of Meteorix (they're from another source than the majority of the series), most pages are 2 per image-

What I'm wondering is should I leave them like this, or seperate the ones that aren't two page spreads? What do you all think?

Cybersix 12

Well that was tiresome. Here is Cybersix number 12 as promised, early even. With my style I don't think that trying to cram an entire issue into a week is a good idea unless its as a reward...

Cybersix 12

EDIT: New link on the Cybersix page.

You should thank "tellthewind" for this release as since I only did it so fast as a thank you for the computer help when my speakers were wonky.

I would also like to thank Frida of http://fridafantastic.wordpress.com/ and a nameless poster for their attempted aid with a particularly annoying phrase.

Translation wise I am going to take a bit of a break due to going right into Cyberisx right after I was done with Meteorix.

On an unrelated topic if you live in or near Thief River Falls or Dilworth MN I highly recommend Belly's Take and Bake Pizza. The more you buy the more work I get, which means more money for me. The pizza is pretty awesome too though.

Annoying Translation Problem

Just spent about 30 minutes trying to translate this one phrase from Cybersix 12.

des qu’on leur fait un peu confiance,

les voilà avec ce cote maternel qu’elles ont tout de suite.

I ended up using about five different translator programs and cobbled together something intelligent out of the results but I am still a bit concerned about it. If any of you my fine readers know French and would be willing to give me a proper translation I would be grateful. I won't tell you what I managed to get so not to influence you unduly.

Ugh.. I haven't had this much hassle translating since dealing with mexican slang and not realizing some of the character's text in Meteorix is done phonetically (written as they would actually say, accents and such) and not literally.

Meteorix Issue 2

Well here is the second translated issue of Meteorix. This one turned out MUCH better than the first one. The colors and translations are much better due to some tricks I've learned and I now have a better font than what I have been using.

As you can see it is a big improvement over the first issue. It will be nice though, to go back to Cybersix for a bit. While the text quantity is much greater and the story more somber, the scans are much nicer to work with.

As before I would really like it if those who read this could tell me what they think about my work. The more specific the complaints the better I can fix them.

 Meteorix Issue 2

Now to work on Cybersix 12. Due to computer aid from one of my fine readers I have promised to post it completed in a week from the time this post goes live. Hopefully I can pull it off.

Thought I Would Share This

A site I frequent is running a contest for a fairly interesting prize. I thought I would share the link with you all in the hopes that some of you would chek it out. The site is a pretty awesome one and one of my regular stops online when I need to kill some time.

Computer Issues Part 2

EDIT- ok its looking like the stuff I tried might have actually worked since there hasnt been a single hiss since the reinstalling of audio drivers. Lets hope that the problem is solved.

To the person who commented trying to help;
since your comment lead to my talking to the one who suggested what I did, I have decided that you helped indirectly. Therefore I will compromise with the reward. Once I finish the last couple of pages of Meteorix #2 and post it I will then in the space of a week from the time I post the link I will translate Cybersix issue 12. Out of the 30 some people who visited the blog today you are the only one who took the time to try and help. I thank you for that, and if you can provide a name of somesort I will stick it in with Cybersix 12.

On the suggestion of a friend I tried uninstalling the realtek high definition audio driver thingy from my computer. It worked in the sense that there was no more of the intermitent hissing type noises, but when I reinstalled drivers so that my computer could have sound again the hissing was back. I also tried turning the microphone off and running the trouble shooter stuff for audio but none of that worked.

This is quite vexing. The sound I am pretty sure is coming from the speakers as it seems to be coming from the top right part of the keyboard part of my laptop.

Shoulda Known- Computer Problem

EDIT: For the poster who asked the sound seems to be coming from the speaker particulary on the right side. Also for those who want to help an E-mail address with your posted comments would be nice.

I should have known that after that last post something would happen...

My computer is now making hissing noises when I boot it up and at some other times (only other time I know for certain is when I do the whole 'Run as Administrator' bit). It does this even thought the speakers are muted.

Does anyone know if this is something I can fix on my own or do I need to take it in. Or if it is something that I don't need to worry much about?

If any help I get from here results in the fixing of this issue (other than telling me I need to take it to a professional) I will translate an entire issue of either Cybersix or Meteorix in less than a week. Which one will be decided by the person who helped me out.

Keep in mind my computer skills are rather limited to internet surfing and minor picture modifying. The laptop I am using is a Compaq Presario CQ62 running Windows 7. I got last November just after Thanksgiving at Walmart for about $300.

Nothing Much Going On.

Not much happening at the moment. Work is fine. Translation is coming along fine, but slow. Just finished watching seasons 1-5 of Red VS Blue and found it highly enjoyable. Was sick on Monday night. Biggest happening other than that was the last of the snow being washed away in rain. Got a few post ideas kicking around in my head, primarily Transformers related. But yeah nothing much of interest at the moment.

Blessed Are The Pizza Makers, Blessed Am I

So yeah I finally have a job now. I make pizzas at Belly's in Dilworth MN. What really tickles the funny bone is that it is right next to a fitness place. No I don't think that this will affect the translations.

Meteorix Quality Jump

I mentioned a before that I was experimenting with the Meteorix scans in order to provide a better translation than what was received with my first release. Well as the image below will indicate it has been a success.

I know you were just attacked a tentacled  tree monster but still...
This has been a vast improvement over what I did with issue 1. I had thought that working with a color comic would be no different than that of Cybersix, whoaboy was I wrong. This big quality jump exacerbates the need for me to do a better version of 1 and of the first few pages of 2.

Scan Sources

I have been asked several times about where I have found my scans of the comics and I figure I'll just answer this in a post so that everyone has easy accsess.

Cybersix- I have found the French version and various Spanish issues at a site called Taringa, this one guy has uploaded various Cybersix comics. Including the French edition.
http://www.taringa.net/posts/comics/2460657/CyberSix---Completa-_Historieta-Argentina_.html

Meteorix- I have been getting the majority of the scans from a site called Ultimatez (sp?). The topic has been updated various times with additional issues.

Zonked out

Sorry I haven't been to chatty lately. Getting up early for the study at Pracs/Cetero is starting to be a real drain. It's not the only reason though, I've been experimenting with various settings for my Meteorix translations, and having a fair bit of succsess. I have a better font now, and the colors are much nicer. Eventually I will take what I have learned and apply it to issue 1, but not right now. I want to get farther along and more settled with my technique before I do that.

I'm not certain on how well the tricks I've learned will apply to the Cybersix translations or if I will even need them for that. Guess I'll find out soon enough.

Current translation status is-
+Meteorix 2 about 20%
+Cybersix 12 has not been started yet.

Cybersix Ch11

Also known as the Cybersix Christmas Rashamon.

Just to warn ya there is a fair amount of nudity from Lori and another woman in this release. So yeah NSFW and stop screwing around at work reading this and earn your pay, lucky S.O.B.s...

Anyway here is the link.Cybersix 11

EDIT: New link on the Cybersix page.

Didn't include the scripts this time around just because. Most of you probably aren't too interested anyway.

Welp now to take a break before starting in on Meteorix #2.

Meteorix 5.9 Issue 1

Well its finally done, the first issue of the Mexican comic series Meteorix 5.9. One down and 89 to go; assuming of course that I can find 82-90 online.

Download here.

This was a fun thing to translate, much less text than Cybersix and a more upbeat feel. Though it defintely does not have the emotional impact of Cybersix. The comic as a whole is rather messy though, when compared to Cybersix's style. My only real complaints are that the scans are nowhere near of as high quality as those of Cybersix.

I do have to admit I am not completely satisfied with my translation. Due to the slang and the having to learn some new typesetting methods, and the fact that it is a completely new series to me, the translations seems rather subpar and lacking in general. Once I get farther into the series and have a better feel for the characters I will comeback and redo this issue like I did with the first part of Cybersix I released. I may even do it a third time if I find better scans for issues 1-20 than what I do have.

Well I hope you enjoy it anyway. Your thoughts, comments and suggestions are welcomed and encouraged. Seriously please comment.

Progress Update

O.k. its looking like Meteorix will be posted much sooner than I thought. Yesterday I got into a real good groove with the translations and translated over half of what I had remaining in a couple hours, and today I got into another groove, though not as good as yesterday's, and now I just have the final page of volume one to do.

Once my brother, who needs to use my computer for an online class due to programs I have installed, is done I will finish the translation and upload it tomorow after my doctor's apointment with the research people. I'd upload it tonight but my appointment is early in the morning. I will then start in earnest on Cybersix's translation on Wensday.

Potential Release Dates -OR- Cross-Dressing Pinochio vs Mexican Mega Manga- FROM SPACE!

All righty folks enough dickering around, I now have projected release dates for both Meteorix and Cyberisx.

First off is Meteorix. Though I am not totally satisfied with its translation and assembly, it is quite honestly a fairly large step down than all but my very first Cybersix translation *shudders*, but that is for a different time and post. Anyway I intend for it to be done by March 24th at the latest.

Cybersix is a little more fluid. I intend for it to be ready on the 29th at the latest, but that changes with how soon I finish Meteorix, since the sooner that is done the sooner Cybersix should be done.

The key words being 'should be done' and 'intend'.

This is all contingent on life proceeding normally and me not being stoned out of my mind on anti-dementia Alzheimer's medication from the study I'm in.

Also though I doubt anyone is interested Torpedo Tits has just translated chapter 29 of Highschool of the Dead. And yes I know the spelling is off, its an old habit from the early translations and the author's non-familiarity with English.

And now some picture for you all. Although you may already have some of them from downloads in older posts.

For the life of me I can't remember what this is a reference of... Oh well its awesome anyway!
Fantastic, check. Sexy, check. Cross dressing, sure why not?

Happy Happy Joy Joy

Little bit about me you may not know, I collect Transformers. But since the Fargo Moorehead area of ND and MN is essentially bumfuck nowhere as far a distributors are concerned it takes forever to get anything new other than the first few waves of toys completely skipping other waves and barely getting any of the later waves. However we are finally getting a few (very few) things I've been waiting months for. I pretty much only need to track down the new Wreckgar and Lugnut figs to obtain all the ones I want. So I am happy that I will be stopping with the obtaining of Bakugan in clearance isles as a stopgap.

Further more I am actually going to be getting some money. I've been accepted into a medical study at Pracs and can get up to $1000. Only problem is I have to drive about 30 miles every day for a few weeks to get there and another 30 back home... And since its early in the morning translations may be slowed a bit depending on how tired I am and what else I need to do that day.

Hopefully my next post will have something more interesting for you all.

Cybersix Italian Covers

The covers for the Italian Cybersix releases are now collected here. From my research it looks like the best way for me to obtain the remaining Cybersix comics that weren't published in French is to obtain scans of the Italian volumes 30(?)-45 or scans of the magazine Skorpio from around 1994-1996 in which it was initially run. Unfortunately I have yet to have any luck finding either. Please spread the word to those who may be able to help.
Anyway I doubt you care about the text so here are some pictures

*grumble grumble grumble

Today I had to take my Grandma out to her hair appointment which wan't too bad; I got a free lunch and gas money out of it, in addittion to spending time with my Grandmother. What was annoying happened in between the dropping off and pcking up of said Grandma.

I was chilling in her apartment as it was going to take about two hours for her to finish so I did some translation work...

Covers Once More.

For those who are interested you can now get all the covers for Meteorix issues 1-81 (I still havent managed to find the remaining 9 issues) right here.

I have also managed to track down the location of the 45 Italian covers of Cybersix. The Italian release seems to be my best bet for finding the rest of the series. If anyone out there has acess to any issue above #30 I would be grateful for any aid you're willing to provide. Whether it be scans or negotiations for me getting my hands on the actual item.

In Happier News

Sorry for the last post being so down, but eh.

In something that most of you will find to be a little bit more interesting I have now made blog pages for Cybersix and Meteorix where you can find the download links easily. This way you dont have to search through the varied blog posts to find them all. Currently there are very few links in the Meteorix section but that should change by the end of next week. Cybersix has links to all the translations I have done and the original translations that Zannen did.

In the meantime enjoy some pictures.

A Year And A Day.

So it's been a year and a day since I started this blog and began posting my Cybersix translations. A lot has changed. I was booted from the Pharm Tech program towards the tail end of it, and switched to Library Sciences. This resulted in six months of not even thinking about this project of mine.

Eventually I started translating again completely disregarding my initial schedule idea I had. This dissapoints me a bit since I would be well into the second book, but I know I would burn out doing that. Now I translate as I can.

And now I am a graduate with a Liberal Arts degree with no job and lving at home... pathetic... The closest thing I do have to  a job is keeping the wood stove going and stocked and helping out the Grandmas when they need it.

On the bright side I have now found another comic to translate, the visually interesting Meteorix 5.9 from Mexico. And have attracted at least one visit to to blog with the search phrase 'I read my disneyporn comics'...

Eh fuck it, enough whining I'm going to go and shoot some space zombies. (Dead Space 2 is the most cathartic game I've played since Prototype and Star Craft)

Meteorix Image and Progress

Was browsing through the newer scans of Meteorix I found the other day, and I came across a rather striking image of one of the side characters, Katzandra I believe, and I like it so much that it is now the background on my spare personal laptop. I figured you all might enjoy it too so here it is for your enjoyment.

Translations are progressing slowly but surely. I've actually reacherd a point with Cybersix where I feel comfortable enough with it to take a break and try to acquire some progress with Meteorix.

Meteroix and Cybersix update.

Cybersix translation is coming along rather slow at the moment. Life and other things combined with the major amounts of dialouge are slowing me down, leaving me in a bit of a slump concerning Cybersix.

Meteorix is starting to come along quite nicely. I have just found a source of what appears to be higher quality scans all the way through the upper 70s. Providing of course the the download links all work. I think I'll focus on the ones I don't have first and then go for the rest.

Huh, neat!

Was just looking at the audience location stats for this and saw that today I got visits from South Korea and Vietnam. That seems rather neat to me.

Meteorix 5.9

The Cover of Meteorix Issue 1
I was doing some browsing online and came across a Mexican comic by the name of Meteorix due to some uh... cough..."adult" fanart of a feline-esque character. The art style and premise from what info I could glean from various sources caught my attention and I figured I'd take a whirl at translating it. The style reminds me of the Adam Warren issues of the orignal run of Gen13. Frankly I find that to be awesome.

I dont got any but if you have any you want to share send it to PharmaDanTrans@yahoo.com and I'll stick it on the blog. Just include your name you want to be identified by with the picture and give me a quick warning about its content in the email's header. I'll take anything even "adult" stuff, in fact if your skilll at drawing that sort thing is good I actually encourage it.

Translating Zombie to English

Today is a day I've been looking forward to since December 2006. Today the most excellent manga series "Highschool of the Dead" is officially released in English. This series holds a special place for me as it was the first series I started reading online without already having read some of it in book form, and was the first that I started reading as it was translated. The waiting for each chapter while vexing was part of the intrigue letting me for many theories while I waited, this was long before I discovered webcomics.

Covers and quantity

I was doing some preparations for upcoming translations and decided to post the covers for all 12 french collections. Thought you all might enjoy them and thought it may get me some more traffic by Google Image search. Oh hey you want to be freaked out? Type Disney or whatever cartoon you prefer and turn the safe search off for images. Just make sure nobody else is watching.
Also there was a question about the quantity of the series. Of volume one there are roughly 80 pics left of Volume One. Of the remaining 11 there are aproximately 200 pages each. Meaning at least a crap-ton of translation left to do.

Awesomeness

This is awesome. That is Fact.
Found on youtube a while ago but can't find it anymore. Fortunately I saved it to my computer. It's for the most excellent Kara no Kyokai series I mentioned a while back. I highly reccemend looking it up.

Chapter 8 redux and a Question

The other night I slept over at my grandmothers before taking her shopping the next day. Since she didnt have internet I decided to work on Cybersix stuff. Without internet I can't translate new shit so I redid the craptastic chapter 8.
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=I8CR6144

Let me know what you think about this version. Feedback is majorly desired.

Out of curiosity does anyone have any one shots or short stuff they would like translated? Cybersix is awesome but switching it up every so often keeps it all interesting.

If you do have something reply with the name, genre, and a synopsis that includes genre and rating. If it catches my interest I'll try giving it a whirl. The only limitation is that I can only do something that uses the typical A-Z alphabet. I will of course also need a link to raws.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year to everyone who reads this little project of mine.

Here is a bulk download of all currently translated Cybersix, both my poor efforts and the excellent Zaanen work.

As before if anyone has any suggestions about my translations or methods please let me know and I'll try to improve it.

Edit: Fixed the link. Sorry about that.
