Just Made This

I just made this cause I thought it would be funny. I have a few others too but those are for later
For those who don't get it its implying that Calvin from Calvina nd Hobbes and Haruhi from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzimiya are the ancestors of Kamina from Gurren Lagann. Anyone familiar with the series should be finding this rather amusing... I hope

Gargh!

Yesterday I went to Pawn America while running errands with Grandma (she has trouble going on her own now cause of O2) and I snagged what I thought was a good deal, a complete set of Trigun, an excellent anime that was on Cartoon Network several years ago. Today I have found out that it is a bootleg, and I can get an official set for just over half of what I payed... PussFuck.

Oh and for those who are interested I haven't quite yet started my next translation, I'm actually still deciding what it will be but I am currently leanning towards Cybersix 13 since I spent part of yesterday at Grandma's before we went shopping preparing several pages for translation (size increasing and color modifying mostly) of several Meteorix issues.

Now this is my kind of hacking!

Awesomeness abounds everywhere in the world of Gurren Lagann! If you haven't watched the show on SyFy at least you should download immediately!

And now hacking Gurren Lagann style!

*grumble grumble grumble

Today I had to take my Grandma out to her hair appointment which wan't too bad; I got a free lunch and gas money out of it, in addittion to spending time with my Grandmother. What was annoying happened in between the dropping off and pcking up of said Grandma.

I was chilling in her apartment as it was going to take about two hours for her to finish so I did some translation work...

Homicidal Rage Kill

I have just learned that Kara No Kyokai (The Garden of Sinners) is getting an official Blue Ray release for North America. KnK is an awesome series and I would be proud to own it legally. Unfortunately it is just a tish under $400... That is far more than I can justify spending in a single go no matter how awesome the sereies is. This news makes me swing from glee and murderous rage.

For those who read this I highly reccemend checking the series out, the second entry in particular has a slight Cybersix feel to it due to the condition of the main character (of the series, the entry is actually from the pov of the other main character). In order to find the series I only have to say that google is your freind

Ok, who pressed the reset button for reality again.

You know the first When They Cry (Higurashi no Naku Koro ni) anime season has one of the best openings I've seen. Right up there with Tank from Cowboy Bebop, Evangelion's Cruel Angel Thesis, and the opening for Visions of Escaflowne.

Some other openings that really good include; Stray from Wolf's Rain, the opening for Outlaw Star, the first openings for Toradora and Blood+, and the opening for Umineko no Naku Koro ni.

Any way here's the rest of Chapter 8 for Cybersix.
EDIT: THIS IS AN OLD BAD TRANSLATION. THERE IS A BETTER VERSION AVAILABLE ELSEWHERE.

And yes the opening for Cybersix's animated series can be included.

Greetings and Obsessions

Greetings.

You may be wondering why and who this blog is about. Those of you who only know me through here can call me PharmaDan, or simply Dan if you cant take the time for the other six letters. I am a rather quiet, homebody, Pharmacy Technician intern with quite a few interests. Including a partially forgotten Saturday morning cartoon. When I have my interest kindled in something I tend to get a little obssesive about it, leading to a bit of an overdose on the subject. But this time that didnt happen. The show inquestion has a rather interesting pedigree. Its a show produced by a Canadian televison studio, based off an Argentian (? somewhere around there any way) comic book, with the animation shipped out to Japan. It is the unforgettable Cybersix. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Cybersix

Cybersix is a quite excellent show if only a short one of only 13 episodes (although I still havent gotten around to watching the last two...). Once I found out it was a comic first I was intrigued, unfortunately despite one of its creators having succsess with Dark Horse comics it was never released in America. However it was released in Italian, its native Spanish, and had an aborted Canadian release... in French.

Thankfully the internet came to the rescue. There is a thriving subculture of translting comics online, Primarily in my knowledge Manga, and Italian pr0n comics. But fortunately another fan had translated Cybersix to English, for seven issues. The can be found here http://www.zannen.ca/cybersix.php , unless of course somethig goes kablooyey. Although if youre reading this you already most likely know that. Unfortunately it doesnt look like anymore will be translated by Zaanen anytime soon. And honestly that makes me sad, and mad, combine that with boredom, free time, no desire to go out and get drunk and waste gas and money, and then square with stumbling across scans of the entire (?) French release and an internet translation site and you get my new little project.

For those of you reading this and currently suffering a joygasm take a moment we'll wait.
