An Important Day

Hey folks still alive. Unfortunately things have not cooperated and I have not been able to get anything done for this project.... Yeah it sucks. But when I have something I'll toss it on up here.

More importantly however today Cybersix gets it DVD Release Today!!!

As I write this, well type anyway, I"m getting ready to go and do some shopping that includes our beloved series. I beg of you dear readers that you do the same, the sooner the better as that is how the folks in charge decide if it was a success or not. So go out and buy some Cybersix, heck by a second copy to gift and spread the joy! And if it does well enough (i.e. exceedingly extremely well) perhaps more could follow, anything from the show being on air again, to official comic releases, to some movie studio taking note and giving us a feature film, the sky is the limit but we must support Cyber if we want anything to happen.

I WILL be posting some more once I've watched the DVDs.

To those of you still hanging around, I thank you, and this project while on hiatus is not dead. I have plans but I need to get things organized for them to work. Hopefully it will happen sooner than later, but it will happen.

New News For A New Year

Hiya folks have some belated New Year News for y'all.

First of is some news on your translator.

I'm doing alright; I'm working fulltime now (I believe I mentioned this before, but meh...), and it's a fairly decent job with 7-4 Monday-Thursday and half days for Friday. My only real complaint is that I need to wake up at 5:30 in the morning and drive 40+ minutes to get there on time. (That and the occassional fear that I'll be working there forever sending shirts on down to be printed/embroidered until I retire.)

Family is doing ok, nothing too unusual there.

The holidays were pretty good. I got a Nook HD that I've been playing around with a bit. (I'll have to add .epub versions of the comics to the downloads later) I got some ninja turtle stuff and Last Stand of the Wreckers in hardcover, along with the regular scattering of shirts and movies.

I had a bit of a cold over New Years and didn't even stay up for it.

Now for some translation news.

As I'm sure you've noticed I've uploaded all of Part 1 for Cybersix volume 2. If I haven't put the link on the downloads page It'll be there soon.

So that I don't get burned out I've decided to do some Meteorix translating. I recently was able to find the last two issues and possibly a non-corrupted version of a page I was missing for number seven.

I do have one minor problem though; the raw scans I have for issues one through twenty are of poor quality, making them rather hard to read and therefore translate. If there is anyone who is willing to maybe take a whack at enhancing the pages in photoshop or something so that I can read the text, I would be very greatful. And remember the faster I get through some Meteorix the quicker I'll get back to Cybersix.

That's about all I have for a you now, so I'll post more later when I have more to type about.

Christmas Is Coming

Allrighty folks Christmas is almost here, and I've got a new post for you.

What I would like to do is finish Part 1 of Cybersix Volume 2 before the 31st of December, before Christmas really.

What's actually going to happen is that I most likely won't finish in time...

I'm currently THINKING, just thinking, about maybe instead of going right into the next half of Volume 2, that I will work on the next issue of Metoerix. I've been feeling the itch to do some more work on it, despite the low quality images of the first several issues.

I've actually had a fair bit of luck regarding Meteorix lately. I've found a scan of the corrupted pages from Issue 7, I've come across a collection of unedited covers for the entire series, and just general good fortune regarding the series.

That being said here after the jump is a new page of Cybersix. I'm a little concerned about some of text balloons making sense in this page and some of the coming ones so if people could help me out and let me know what they think it would be very much appreciated.

A Reminder

Just a reminder for everyone; After MEgaupload went kerflooey I reuploaded everything to another site. All the new download links are on the Cybersix page, use those instead of the old ones in the posts. Someday if I'm not feeling lazy I'll go and udate every old post...

In short working download links are the Cybersix page. If they stop let me know. Don't use the links in the old posts. :P

Ebook conversion

So hey it's looking like the test conversions have finally worked allright. I still need to stick them on the Kindle to test them out but I'm feeling confident about it.

Currently I got the stuff in Zip, cbz, and Mobi files, does that work for everyone?

The files are a fair bit larger than the standard ebook but I suspect thats due to the fact that these are all images. If anyone has any suggestions on how to reduce the file size that would be awesome.

Once I confirm that the test files are good I'll post them here so you all can take a look and tell me where I screwed up with them.

Hey Folks, Here's Some Info For Ya.

I've had some questions recently about how much there is of Cybersix. Since this aint the first time I've had this question and it's unlikely to be the last time. So I made a handy dandy little pic that people can stick with their Cybersix downloads so that Bisharp can tell you how much there is remaining of Cybersix.

For Those Who Want To Use My Work

If you want to use my work on Cybersix or Meteorix there are a few things you should do.
  1. First ask me if its ok.
  2. Let me know how you intend to use it (translate into another language, create a better translation, color the comic, post on another site like Smack Jeeves, etc etc...), and where you will be posting it at. This way I can let other people know about your stuff as well. And possibly hit you up for advice in regards to photoshoping...
    • Note- This will also enable me to keep you current with my script translations if neccesary.
    • Other Note- If you are wanting to color it let me know and I'll post your colored versions here for everyone.
  3. If I give you the ok, credit my work on on it. (for example acknowledge that you are working from my translation, don't claim that you did it yourself)
    • Note- Apply this to the chapters done by Zannen as well. Don't claim it for yourself or say that I did those translations.
    • Note The Second- Guy who was posting Cybersix on Smack Jeeves when are you going to post more? I gave you the ok to use my stuff but you haven't done anything for a while.
  4. Supply an E-mail address by which I can contact you, in your comment to this post or any other in which you ask.
For my translation related stuff I use the email address PharmaDanTrans@yahoo.com

If you follow this outline more likely than not I'll give you the go ahead to use my stuff.

    • Note The Final- The picture used at the top of this post is from a volume of Sailor Moon, I can't remember which one right now. It's one of those end of chapter filler art pieces that the artist sticks inbetween the old chapter and the new.
Also WOO 11/11/11
Thank you anon who gave me an excuse to use this picture...
