The Universe Hates My Back

So today I'm not working.

However it's because I tweaked my back to the point where standing is painfuk.

No that was not a typo.

I can work on Cybersix stuff today!

...But my laptop with the comic materials is on the other side of the house...

I make no promises unless one of you can magically teleport either my laptop to me or a punch of painkillers.

Still Alive - Happy 4th

Like psychotic computers and hockey masked killers, I return once again.

In regards to the long absence, I do this as a HOBBY in my free time. And since my free time is limited I have to prioritize. And to be quite honest I haven't felt the urge to do much translating until lately.

Yes I do feel guilty about it.

But such is life. I've been busy. I work fulltime. My brother needed help moving. I have other interests that I wish to indulge. My dad busted up his knee shortly before going to Canada with my Mom and Brother to compete in an International Choir Thing That I Can't Remember The NAme Of out in Toronto, while leaving me behind. :(

Oh and I got a new computer, and found out that several of my old programs and files are not compatible with it... :(
Does anyone know of any good converter progams for .wps files?

Also does anyone know how to enhance the text in old/poor scans like the ones I have for early Meteorix comics? PArt of the reason there hasn't been anything new until now is because of my frustration at deciphering the text of those images.

Anyway thanks to the 4th of July and the translation skills of the awesome (and dare I say lovely?) Shippo, here is a new Cyberisx page with hopefully more to follow.

Also Shippo I never got that second batch of translations you mentioned. we really got to figure out why that keeps happening.
-Also also did you translate the text colums from the two pages before this one? they didnt seem to be included in the file you sent me.

Still kicking

Hey folks I'm still around and working.

Unfortunately the work has not been on translations. Mostly inventory at work, orepping grandma's house for the new renters, stuff for home, and helping my folks prepare for their trip to Cabo San Lucas.

I'll post stuff for ya when I have it.

New News For A New Year

Hiya folks have some belated New Year News for y'all.

First of is some news on your translator.

I'm doing alright; I'm working fulltime now (I believe I mentioned this before, but meh...), and it's a fairly decent job with 7-4 Monday-Thursday and half days for Friday. My only real complaint is that I need to wake up at 5:30 in the morning and drive 40+ minutes to get there on time. (That and the occassional fear that I'll be working there forever sending shirts on down to be printed/embroidered until I retire.)

Family is doing ok, nothing too unusual there.

The holidays were pretty good. I got a Nook HD that I've been playing around with a bit. (I'll have to add .epub versions of the comics to the downloads later) I got some ninja turtle stuff and Last Stand of the Wreckers in hardcover, along with the regular scattering of shirts and movies.

I had a bit of a cold over New Years and didn't even stay up for it.

Now for some translation news.

As I'm sure you've noticed I've uploaded all of Part 1 for Cybersix volume 2. If I haven't put the link on the downloads page It'll be there soon.

So that I don't get burned out I've decided to do some Meteorix translating. I recently was able to find the last two issues and possibly a non-corrupted version of a page I was missing for number seven.

I do have one minor problem though; the raw scans I have for issues one through twenty are of poor quality, making them rather hard to read and therefore translate. If there is anyone who is willing to maybe take a whack at enhancing the pages in photoshop or something so that I can read the text, I would be very greatful. And remember the faster I get through some Meteorix the quicker I'll get back to Cybersix.

That's about all I have for a you now, so I'll post more later when I have more to type about.

The Status Of PharmaDan

So hey I got a new job YAY! But it's slwoing down my work on Cybersix BOO! (Even more so than normal)
I have to wake up at 5:30 in morning to get there on time and don't get home until close to 12 hours later, and its a fulltime job too. Adding in selling my bodily fluids for fun and profit at Biolife Plasma Services twice a week, it all results in greatly reduced free time.
At least I'm not as bad as updating as VGCats though :D

Anyway here is some Cyberstuff for you all.

Cybersix Fanart

For those who are interested there is a pretty decent piece of Cyber fanart on one of the blogs I follow.

My new job is currently slowing down my efforts with Cybersix, but don't worry I'm still moving along with it.

To The Nightshift At Where I Work- I Do My Job

Dear Nightshift Girls-

I will admit I am not a particulary speedy person. I will also admit that I am also the newest person working at the store. However act like you did towards me and the other person on morning shift (who has been working there longer than you) and their will be... problems...

Morningshifts' top priority is to make the pizza dough and roll it into crusts. If we have the time and inclination we can do otherthings. But it is the nightshifts' job to restock the line fridges not ours. We busted our humps to finnish all the dough, while making pizzas for the customers (and selling about a quarter of what we made to boot), and doing the emergency stocking of what we needed for said pizzas. We bring our dough numbers up to where the boss has told all of us to bring them to (as your angry little note so pointedly indicated), it isn't our fault we sell out of dough towards the end of the night.

Furthermore, you lot are not the ones in charge at work. You cannot remove my hours from the schedule. You cannot continue to make the schedules so that they favor you and place all of you on at once. You do not have the authority to leave notes to try and reprimand us, or complain about how "we always slack off". If you have an issue complain to our faces. (note: you all know about this blog, and honestly I don't care if you decide to read it or not, you know it's here so it's your call) Don't leave angry little notes at work, actually say something to us and communicate, even if it is through facebook or email or personal webpages.

If one of you in particular continues to provoke me everytime we see each other, there will be problems. I do not want problems. I do my job, and if you think you can do better I am willing to trade shifts and let you take a whack at it instead. Just let me know and I can easily trade my shifts for yours. It's better than you just starting yell when I show that I have a spine and don't immedietly agree with your view of our work. I'm a nice guy in general (and I haven't even yelled back once), but I won't rollover just because you have to your job instead of Morningshift doing it for you. So please don't provoke me anymore.
